Overview

The In-Editor AI Assistant brings powerful AI-driven functions to expedite writing, editing, and formatting your custom article content. While in Edit mode, the AI Assistant appears in the Body field and can perform several useful text editing functions in just a few clicks.

Note: None of these features automatically publish any AI-generated content. Clicking the "Save changes to editor" button applies the AI-generated content to the current draft of the article only. If you are working on a new draft of an existing article, the article will not be updated yet. The new/updated AI-generated content will not publish until the article status itself is set to "Published" and the article is saved.

Generate with AI

This option generates text based on a prompt.

  1. Click AI Assistant > Generate with AI.
     
  2. Enter a prompt in the What would you like to ask or get ideas for? text box.
     
  3. Click Generate.
     
  4. After some processing time, you'll see AI-generated text in the Response from AI box below. This is the text that will appear in the body of the article. You can review and make manual edits to this text.
     
  5. To apply the text to the article draft, click Save changes to editor. You'll return to the Edit screen with the AI-generated text in the Body field of the article.

Modify with a prompt

This option can modify selected text based on a prompt.

  1. Use the mouse to select the text you want to modify in the Body field.
     
  2. Click AI Assistant > Modify with a prompt.
     
  3. Enter a plain text prompt in the Your instructions field, then click Modify text.Screenshot of a sample AI Assistant - Modify with a prompt window.   4. After some processing time, the result will display in the Response from AI box below. Click Save changes to editor to return to Edit mode with the updated text in place.

Reformat HTML

This option suggests streamlined concise HTML formatting for the selected text. Use this to fix oddly formatted text or clean up extraneous HTML code.

  1. Use the mouse to select the text you want to reformat in the Body field.
     
  2. Click AI Assistant > Reformat HTML.
     
  3. Click Reformat.
     
  4. After some processing time, the AI-reformatted text will appear in the Suggested markup box below. Click Save changes to editor to to return to Edit mode with the updated text in place.

Fix spelling

This option checks and automatically fixes typos and spelling mistakes in selected text.

  1. Use the mouse to select the text you want to spell check in the Body field.
     
  2. Click AI Assistant > Fix spelling.
     
  3. Click Fix spelling.
     
  4. After some processing time, the AI-corrected text will appear in the Response from AI box below. Click Save changes to editor to to return to Edit mode with the updated text in place.

Summarize

This option summarizes selected text into a shorter, more succinct version.

  1. Use the mouse to select the text you want to summarize in the Body field.
     
  2. Click AI Assistant > Summarize.
     
  3. Click Summarize.
     
  4. After some processing time, the AI-summarized text will appear in the Response from AI box below. Click Save changes to editor to to return to Edit mode with the updated text in place.

Tone

This option rewrites the selected text in a different tone. Depending on your intended audience, you may want to choose a different tone to make concepts easier or friendlier for your readers.

  1. Use the mouse to select the text you want to rewrite in the Body field.
     
  2. Click AI Assistant > Tone.
     
  3. Set the Choose tone dropdown. Tone options are:
    • Conversational
    • Empathetic
    • Formal
    • Friendly
    • Patient-Centric, plain language, practical
    • Professional
    • Reassuring
       
  4. Click Change the tone.
     
  5. After some processing time, the AI-written text will appear in the Suggested conversion box below. Click Save changes to editor to to return to Edit mode with the updated text in place.
