Overview

You may have content in your site that is highly specialized or sensitive with very strict requirements. Common examples are pages with legal implications (e.g., Privacy policy, Cookie policy, Terms and conditions of site use, etc.). You can use content access control to restrict the number of DXE Managers with edit access to those pages to reduce the chance of erroneous changes.

Content access control allows you to work with DXE support to set:

  1. A list of content pages to restrict from being editable by all DXE Managers in your site; and
  2. A short list of DXE Managers allowed to make edits to those pages.

How to use

WebMD Ignite note icon
DXE Managers do not have direct access to this control. You must contact support for help setting up this feature on your site.

Considerations

  • Only one set of restricted pages and one set of allowed DXE Managers can be set. You cannot set different groups of allowed DXE Managers for different sets of restricted pages.
  • To get this feature set up, submit a support request with the following information:
    • the page(s) to be restricted
    • the DXE Managers allowed to edit the restricted pages
