Release notes: September 11, 2025

Note: The updates described in these release notes will go live on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
Meet the next evolution in provider search - custom filters
Manage and activate filters in Provider Search (Beta) —zero code, instant front-end updates for administrators.
What it is
A new configuration option that automatically discovers and lists any Taxonomy fields on your Providers content type as “Additional Filters” in Theme Settings. Once support has enabled this feature, you can enable, label, reorder and choose the filter type for these fields.
How it works
Behind the scenes, the system scans all taxonomy fields attached to providers. Each detected field is added—disabled by default—to the Additional Filters group under Theme Settings → Providers → Provider Search Page → Filters & Sort. To add a brand-new filter, reach out for more information on creating custom filters. Filter changes take effect on the front end immediately.
Why it matters
This enhancement gives you full control over which provider attributes appear as search filters. As new data relationships are defined on the Providers content type, they’re instantly available for visitors to refine search results—streamlining setup, improving maintainability, and delivering a more tailored user experience.
Limited access for DXE Managers for defined pages

Note: This update enables a page to be locked from modification by a DXE Manager. Reach out if you need a list of pages blocked from being edited.
DXE users can define what pages cannot be modified. Any list of pages and/or users supplied to support can be blocked from being able to edit or delete defined pages.
What it is
A new feature allows specific pages (nodes) in the back-end to be blocked from being edited so that only chosen users can access them.
How it works
Request from support that certain users and pages be restricted and we can ensure their security with behind-the-scenes management of permissions.
Why it matters
- Improved security: Prevents pages you want to protect from being edited and allows users to view pages only.
- Better workflow control: Tailors back-end visibility to each team’s responsibilities.
- Compliance and audit-readiness: Simplifies tracking who can access critical pages, aiding in governance and reporting.
- Background processing jobs were deleting the URL aliases of events marked “hidden” in Content Apps, making those events completely inaccessible. The logic was updated so hidden events are omitted from DXE search experiences but their occurrences retain intact URL aliases for direct access.
- Deleted event occurrences continued to show up in content feeds due to leftover data in the database. Now when an occurrence is deleted, it’s fully removed from feeds, and deleting an event node also automatically deletes all its occurrences.
- The bypass block wasn’t appearing first in the tab order on Provider Search (Beta) and Location Search, making it harder for keyboard and screen reader users to jump to main content. The bypass block now renders as the very first focusable element via tab navigation on both pages, ensuring seamless access for screen reader and keyboard navigation.
- DXE’s CORS settings were updated to strengthen our security protocols when leveraging our DXE API endpoints.
