Overview

When DXE Users haven’t logged into their site for an extended period of time, it’s often because they are on extended leave, or no longer with the organization. Unless their DXE profile is updated to  "blocked", they can still access the site, posing a potential security risk.

DXE includes an automation option to block DXE users who have been inactive for a set period of time. This functionality reduces unwanted access automatically for better peace of mind.

Considerations

  • To activate this feature, submit a support request to add automatic blocking for inactive users to your site. You can also specify the number of months to wait before automatically blocking an inactive user (whole number only, default value is 1).
  • If a user is blocked due to the automation, they can easily be manually reactivated at any time:
    • Go to People in the DXE Toolbar
    • Click their profile name and  uncheck the “Blocked” checkbox.
