Content Feed: Sort Providers by last name

Sorting Providers alphabetically just became much more intuitive.

What it is

Provider Content Feeds can now be sorted in alphabetical order by the Provider’s last name.

How it works

When sorting a Content Feed for the Provider content type, the Sort by options of Title (A-Z) and Title (Z-A) now sort by the Providers’ last names.

Why it matters

Sorting by last name is a much more common and intuitive practice. Your users will recognize this sort order more readily, and they will find it easier to locate their provider of choice!

Provider Search: Connect to user geolocation

Provider Search now makes more efficient use of geolocation.

What it is

Your site visitors can set their approximate location at any time in the global location field at the top of the site (as long as Enable Geolocation is set in the Theme settings).

Provider search can now use this location field when searching for nearby providers! Previous to this enhancement, the user would have to set a home location manually in the provider search module, regardless if a location was already set in the header.

How it works

As long as a location is set in the header, the user will have access to a Distance filter in Provider search. They can set a maximum travel distance, and the provider search will return providers within the requested distance from the global location.

Why it matters

Your users only have to set their location once to get local providers, resulting in a more efficient and professional experience!
