Overview
"Components" are templates for certain elements that can be added to a post, Standard layout, or Enhanced layout page. Components are similar to blocks in that they are automatically formatted based on theme settings. However, they are different in that they are not reusable, meaning they have no Visibility rules that allow them to appear on more than one page. While blocks can be set to appear in many regions of a page (i.e. header, footer, sidebar, etc.), components are used specifically to enrich the body of articles and pages. They can be set and repositioned using Digital Experience Engine’s (DXE’s) intuitive drag-and-drop visual interface.
